After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 2014, Michael has joined the Forte Physiotherapy team with all the most current teachings and techniques, passed on from some of the leading physiotherapists in the musculoskeletal field. Michael is always looking to continue his development by keeping up to date with the latest research and keeps in mind that ‘there are lies, damn lies and statistics’.
For three years Michael has been the principal trainer at the Northern Districts Touch Rugby Club, providing them with soft tissue release, taping and injury management advice.
Earlier in 2015, he joined new boss Simon in Sydney at the National Indoor Netball Championships, again providing physiotherapy services to the South Australian teams.
Michael has expanded his skill set by obtaining a dry needling qualification, to aid the treatment of tight muscles by releasing trigger points. He has also begun pursuing an entry level pilates qualification. His interests in physiotherapy include pain management, pilates and the management of injuries common in professional musicians and athletes. In his spare time, Michael enjoys taking long walks on the beach, listening to his record collection and writing majestic guitar ballads.
‘Cause as much pain as you have to, but no more than you need to’.
